Pride in Action Community Engagement Program
GET INVOLVED. GIVE BACK. BUILD COMMUNITY.
Pride in Action is a Pride Center student engagement program that brings together academic success, community service, campus involvement and leadership.
Students can earn hours by participating in approved tutoring opportunities, completing community service or volunteering with Citrus College programs, events and activities. Each experience is an opportunity to strengthen your connections, support others and contribute to the Citrus College community.
All students are encouraged to participate.
INTERESTED IN PRIDE IN ACTION?
After submitting the interest form, you can begin participating in approved activities and working toward the program's 30 required hours.
HOW PRIDE IN ACTION WORKS.
Complete a total of 30 approved hours through one or more of the following:
- Participate in tutoring. Receive tutoring during a Pride Study Hall or through the STEM Center or Learning Center.
- Complete community service. Give your time in service to the community.
- Volunteer on campus. Participate in approved Citrus College programs, events or activities.
- Track your hours. Record your participation using the Pride in Action service log.
EARN A LAVENDER RECOGNITION CORD.
Students who successfully complete 30 hours and are eligible for graduation, transfer or certificate completion from Citrus College will receive a lavender recognition cord.
The cord recognizes more than completed hours. It represents the connections you have built, the time you have contributed and your involvement in the Citrus College community.

Pride in Action offers opportunities to:
- strengthen your academic success
- connect with the Citrus College community
- develop leadership skills
- serve and support others
- become more involved on campus
Whether you spend an hour getting tutoring, volunteering at a campus activity or serving the community, your participation supports the same goal: making a difference while building your own Citrus College experience.
